This wind turbine is rated to provide 800 watts per hour or 19 Kw per day, at a wind speed of 22.3 mph. Production will vary with your location and winds, but our "hands on" experience indicates that this little guy is like the ever ready rabbit, it just keeps on turning day and night.

You will need to utilize the pole we provide of at least 18 feet high, (a taller pole would be better to get higher wind speeds). It will reduce your electric bill, and if you use net metering, will spin your electric meter backward. We can sell you additional pole sections in 6 foot lengths, for $300 per section, if you want to raise it higher.

In a good wind area, it will pay for itself in 5 years. In some locations it will do better, and some worse. It depends on the wind speeds. Plus, it is a good "starter" model to get you on your way to be energy efficient. This item is so simple you can plug it into an electrical outlet of your house, and it will work. We do recommend that you have a dedicated line, from the inverter to your breaker, for best performance.

Plus, another consideration is that some power company bill plans charge you a higher rate during "Peak" usage hours. This device will tend to lower your "Peak" usage, and therefore lower your overall charge rate as well. So it can save you money in several ways:

1. Actual production of electricity
2. Lowering your rate charge
3. Tax deductions and benefits as an 'alternative energy' improvement to your property. THE Federal Government is allowing a 30% Investment Tax Credit to purchasers, plus there may be a production credit allowed. Check with your CPA, to see if you qualify.

The kit is designed so that you can easily add solar panels, and then upgrade to a stronger turbine when you are ready. Some will price wind turbines to you, but don't include the poll, inverter, and other things you will need. Our price includes all of these. We recommend that a qualified electrician do the installation. Also, the unit is CE rated, and with a minor change can be UL rated if you need it. Warranty is provided by the manufacturer. This unit is not built to produce a lot of electricity, but is to introduce you to the world of wind turbines. After you have had this one for a while, we hope you will upgrade to a larger unit (3, 5, 10 or 20 kWh turbine) that can truly have a strong impact on your electric bill. Some power utilities require that you complete legal forms to hook onto the grid, and some encourage and are easy to deal with. We suggest that you have your electrician complete all forms related to electrical regulations, as it is your responsibility. We believe in the long run, the big utility companies will welcome alternative renewable energy.
